Important to note: FLYR is designed to be your single source of truth for restriction management. This is because we can push and edit restrictions into your pms but cannot receive them into our feature / overviews when created or edited in your pms directly.
When you set or remove a restriction in FLYR, FLYR sends that instruction to your PMS via the API. If restrictions are also being created or removed directly inside your PMS by someone on your team, this creates a two-source conflict that can lead to restrictions appearing, disappearing, or persisting unexpectedly.
Troubleshooting Restriction Errors / Discrepancies
If you believe you have created a restriction or made a restriction adjustment that has not gone through to your PMS, the best place to go is your STATUS OVERVIEW. Navigate to it by clicking the home button located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
This will bring up a list of any pending or failed restrictions whereby you can then go into each one and see a detailed breakdown of what sort of error message was identified, an explanation around it and suggested steps to troubleshoot. Items marked as Pending indicate they are waiting for an integration response, while items marked as Failed mean the push was unsuccessful.
Checking Restriction Status via the Optimization Page
Another way to check the status of restriction pushes is through the Optimization page in FLYR. To do this:
Open the Optimization page in FLYR.
Locate the menu on the far right of the screen (represented by three dots).
Click the menu to view the status of restrictions. Items marked as Pending indicate they are awaiting an integration response.
This method is particularly useful for users working directly within the Optimization page.
If you have gone through this and cannot understand why this might be or believe something to be wrong and require our technical teams' help, reach out to our support team via the chat with these details! Both methods — the Status Overview and the Optimization page — allow you to monitor restriction statuses effectively. Choose the method that best fits your workflow.
