Managing rate plan configurations across a property group can be time-consuming and prone to errors. To streamline the setup process, you can now copy the configuration of existing rate plans from a source property and apply those settings to matching rate plans on one or more target properties. This ensures consistency and significantly reduces manual work, especially when onboarding new properties.

Whether you are onboarding a new property or aligning configurations across a portfolio, this article will walk you through how to copy rate plan configurations step by step.

How to Copy Rate Plan Configurations

The configuration copy is performed in a few simple steps, allowing you to select properties, configuration elements, and specific rate plans.

  1. In the Settings -> Rate Plan screen, click on Actions and select Copy Rate Plan Configuration.

  2. Select source and target properties

    1. Copy from - select the single property whose rate plan configurations you want to copy. This is your source property.

    2. Copy to - select one or multiple properties that will receive the copied configurations. These are your target properties.

  3. Define configuration elements to copy
Specify exactly which aspects of the rate plan configuration you want to replicate. You can select one, two, or all three options:

    • Pricing Classification

    • Segmentation

    • Restrictions Classification

  4. Select rate plans to update

Choose which rate plans on the target properties should receive the new configuration:

    • All matching rate plans - apply the copied configuration to all rate plans on the target properties that have the exact same name as a rate plan on the source property.

    • Select specific rate plans - manually select the individual rate plans on the target properties that you want to update. This is useful if you only need to update a subset of your rate plans.

  5. Preview and save changes
Review the copied configuration, make any adjustments and save the changes.

⚠️ Important Considerations

  • Matching rate plans - the copy configuration works on rate plans with identical names between the source and target properties.

  • Overwrite - copying the configuration will overwrite the existing selected configuration elements (Pricing Classification, Segmentation, Restrictions Classification) on the target rate plans. The preview step is critical for verifying these overwrites.
