View Dashboards and Workbooks in Full Screen

How to use full screen mode for dashboards and workbooks, and why full screen isn't yet available while editing a dashboard.

Written by Ashley Dehertogh

You can now view dashboards and workbooks in full screen, hiding your browser and the left-hand navigation panel so only your content is visible.

How to Use Full Screen

  1. Open a dashboard or workbook

  2. Click View in the top menu

  3. Select Full Screen

This works when viewing a dashboard, and when both viewing and editing a workbook.

Why Use It

  • Presenting a dashboard: Full screen removes browser and navigation clutter, making it easier to walk through a dashboard live in a meeting.

  • Editing a workbook: Full screen gives you the most available space to work with fields, calculations, and visualization settings when building or refining a query.

Why Can't I Full Screen a Dashboard While Editing It?

Full screen is currently only available while viewing a dashboard, not while editing one. It's fully supported for workbooks in both viewing and editing modes. This is a current platform limitation, not a setting you can turn on.

To Exit Full Screen

Go to View > Full Screen again to return to the normal view.
