Why you might need this article?
If you’ve accidentally removed a tile or made unintended changes to your dashboard layout in FLYR Hospitality, there are straightforward ways to restore them. Follow the steps below to recover individual tiles or the entire dashboard layout.
Restoring Individual Tiles
To add a removed tile back to your dashboard:
Open the Catalog from the top navigation menu.
Locate the tile you want to restore.
Select the tile, and it will be added back to your dashboard.
Restoring Entire Dashboards
If multiple tiles are missing or the dashboard layout has been unintentionally altered, you can restore the dashboard using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Use Version History
Open the workbook view.
Navigate to File → Version history.
Find the version you want to restore (e.g., a version from before the changes).
Click the three dots next to the desired version or use the Restore as draft button in the purple bar.
Once the draft loads, click Publish in the top-right corner.
Return to the dashboard view to see the restored layout.
Method 2: Undo Layout Changes (If Still in Edit Mode)
Open the dashboard in Edit mode.
Use Edit → Undo or press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to revert recent changes to tiles and layout.
Notes
In workbook view, tiles are organized by tabs, so you may not see all tiles on one screen. Restoring a prior version as a draft and publishing it will bring back the full dashboard layout.
Troubleshooting Tips
Always double-check the Catalog for missing tiles before restoring an entire dashboard.
Use version history to revert to a specific point in time if multiple changes were made.
If you’re unsure about the changes, consider creating a backup version of your dashboard before making edits.
By following these steps, you can efficiently recover tiles or dashboards and maintain your reporting workflows.
