The configuration workflows for rate plan buckets were designed with ease and efficiency in mind. From a one-click "Quick Generate" process to enable, to system auto-detection of new rate plans
Enabling rate plan buckets
The first step to get started with managing your restrictions in FLYR Hospitality is to enable the default configuration of rate plan buckets.
Navigate to your
Settingspage, and click "Rate Plans, Segments, & Buckets".Select the "Buckets" tab.
Click "Quick Generate Bucket Configuration" to enable the default rate plan bucket structure for your property group.
Three buckets will be created by default:
Base Rate Parity - This will contain the rate plan(s) mapped as
Parent Ratein your Rate Types setup.Group - This will contain any rate codes with a Group pricing classification. This bucket is non-yieldable by default.
Unassigned - Any rate plan that is not a Parent Rate and does not have a pricing classification of Group will be placed here. This bucket is yieldable by default.
Note: The default buckets cannot be edited or deleted.
And that's it! You are now ready to customize your bucket structure.
Adding, Editing, and Deleting rate plan buckets
Click
Add Newat top right to create a new bucket row. You can then edit the Name and Restriction Classification directly in the table.Add as many buckets as you need to manage your rate plans, keeping in mind that the more buckets you add, you the more you will have to review within the Optimization Overview and Quick View.
To adjust the order in which your buckets will display throughout the system, use the drag handles at left to drag, drop, and re-order.
Once you are done creating your bucket structure, click
Save Changes.
Editing existing buckets can be done directly within the Buckets table. Simply double-click in a "Bucket" or "Restriction Classification" cell to make changes.
Deleting can only be done by a Property Admin, as these values are used across the property group. To do so, click the trashcan icon at right of any user-created bucket.
Deleting a bucket will return any rate plans previously within that bucket to the Unassigned bucket.
Note: Bucket level restrictions are deleted along with the bucket and do not translate back to the rate plan. Any rate plan level restrictions in place will remain on the rate plan in the Unassigned bucket
Assigning rate plans to buckets
Rate plans can be moved to new buckets in a couple of ways:
Direct edit in the Buckets cell
To update the bucket assignment of a single rate plan, double-click in the Bucket cell on your Rate Plans table and select the new value from the dropdown.
Copy and paste
You can copy the value in one cell and paste to one or multiple destination cells, just like you would within a spreadsheet.
Drag and drop
You can click on the bottom-right of a cell to drag and drop the value across other cells.
Copy rate plan configuration
You can also copy rate plan configurations from one property to another.
Don't forget to click "Save" when you're done!
And of course, these options don't just apply to buckets. You can use any of the above workflows to quickly and easily interact with other components of rate plan config like Pricing Classifications and Segments.
