Rate Plan Buckets allow you to group similar rate plans according to your own, specific yielding workflows (e.g., all OTAs, all Corporate accounts, or specific Promotional packages) to manage restrictions efficiently across your properties. Bucketing rate plans addresses the need to apply restrictions efficiently at scale while maintaining granular precision where it matters most.
How do I set them up?
Rate plan buckets can be enabled, configured, and managed within your property's Settings page in the Rate Plans, Segments & Buckets section.
A detailed guide to this Settings page can be found here.
Note: Buckets must be enabled in order to interact with restrictions at your property.
How do I review my restrictions?
Rate plan buckets in FLYR Hospitality were designed to give your team an efficient, streamlined way to manually manage restrictions at an aggregate level, while letting our engine optimize individual rate plans within the buckets for maximum yield.
Within the Optimization Overview screen, the Restrictions tab allows you to easily review effective restrictions at a glance, and make changes in just a few clicks.
Any yieldable buckets you have created will be displayed at the top, providing an aggregated view of your property for each day.
From here, you can expand to view more bucket detail at an inventory-type level, or go straight to an inventory Quick View for a detailed view of any recommendations or in effect restrictions for that inventory type for that stay date.
How does restricting buckets work?
The action to restrict at a bucket level functions just like the restrictions you are already used to at a rate plan level.
Within the restrictions drawer (whether Tactical or Strategic), you can select at which level to apply restrictions.
When making selections directly within the Overview and utilizing the quick actions in the footer, please note that these actions are applied at the bucket level.
For flexibility in making more granular, rate plan level restrictions, open the restrictions drawer by clicking Actions and selecting Create Tactical or Remove.
