Action Required: Please Review Your Property Opening Dates

As part of our recent Data Enrichment update, we’ve added a new Opening Date field that you can now define yourself. This gives you full control over what “opening” means for your organization — whether that’s the physical opening date, the date a property joined your portfolio, or another milestone you use internally. This field is now available in your Configuration Settings → Data Enrichment → Property section.

To make this transition smooth, we’ve set up a short grace period so your existing content continues to work without interruption — but we will need your input.


What’s Happening

Previously, Insights automatically calculated Opening Date using the first reservation received from your PMS. We heard from several enterprise customers that this wasn’t always correct or meaningful for reporting, especially for like-for-like comparisons.

You now have the ability to input an Opening Date for each property manually.
This will become the authoritative date used across all topics in Insights.


What You Need to Do

Please review and update your Opening Dates within the next 30 days.

  • Go to Configuration Settings → Data Enrichment → Property

  • Add or update the Opening Date for each property using the date definition that fits your organization

  • These dates will immediately appear across your dashboards, filters, and reports

This ensures your reporting remains accurate and avoids blank values after the transition period.


What Happens During the Grace Period

To avoid any disruption:

  • For the next month, Insights will continue to display your current Opening Date values until you enter your new dates.

  • As soon as you add a date in the new field, that becomes the one used across Insights.

  • After the grace period, Insights will rely exclusively on the Opening Date values you’ve entered.

If no new date is entered by then, you will begin to see blank Opening Dates in your reporting.
