Insights gives you two powerful AI touchpoints that help you work with your hotel performance data in different ways: AI Chat and AI Query Helper. Each has its own strengths, and together they make it easier to move from asking a big-picture question to building polished dashboards and reports you can share.

AI Chat: Explore across topics in one conversation

What it is

AI Chat is like having a conversation partner who knows your data. Instead of sticking to just one dataset, you can move fluidly between Bookings, Pick-up, Pricing, STR Benchmarking, Forecasts, and more — all within the same thread.

What it’s great for

  • Connecting the dots – See how booking pace ties into recent price changes, comp-set performance, and forecast accuracy.

  • Digging into causes – When RevPAR is down, jump across topics like Bookings, Pick-up, and Rate Shopping to understand why.

  • Storytelling with context – Follow-ups build on what you’ve already asked, so you get a consistent narrative instead of one-off answers.

  • Keeping the flow natural – Ask questions the way you would in a team discussion, even if they jump between subjects.

Example flow

  • “How did our booking pace change last week?” (Bookings)

  • “Did competitors adjust pricing during that time?” (Rate Shopping)

  • “Where did we sit on STR for last week?” (Benchmarking)

Why you’ll love it

AI Chat helps you think more broadly about performance and removes the need to manually stitch together insights from different topics. It’s perfect for when you want to explore, investigate, or make sense of the bigger story behind your numbers.

AI Query Helper: Build content in your workbooks

What it is

AI Query Helper is your assistant for building content inside workbooks. It takes plain-language instructions and creates the tables and charts you’ll later save into dashboards and reports. While AI Chat is about open exploration, AI Query Helper is about producing usable content.

Where you’ll use it

Inside workbooks and worksheets:

  • When starting a new query

  • When creating tiles you’ll add to a dashboard or report

What you can do with it

  • Build a new query from a description – Just say what you want to see, and the helper sets up the query for you.

  • Save and reuse – Once you’re happy with it, save the view and use it in your dashboards or reports.

How to use it

  1. Open a workbook and start a new query.

  2. Open the AI Query Helper and describe the output you want in plain language.

  3. Review the proposed query and make any small tweaks you need.

  4. Save the view and add it to your dashboard or report.

Sample prompts

  • “Show ADR and Occupancy by segment for last month.”

  • “Compare this month’s Revenue to STLY by property.”

  • “What was pick-up yesterday for the next 90 days?”

Best practices

  • Be clear about the timeframe: last week, last month, next 90 days.

  • Name the KPIs: Units, ADR, Revenue, Occupancy, RevPAR.

  • Call out comparisons if needed: STLP, Previous, etc.,

  • Add breakdowns only if they’ll help answer your question (property, segment, market).

Notes

  • Each chart or table is based on a single topic. If you want to connect insights across topics, use AI Chat first, then come back to AI Query Helper to build the specific tiles you need.

  • AI Query Helper only uses data you already have permission to access.

How they work best together

The magic happens when you use both:

  1. Start broad with AI Chat – Explore what’s happening across topics.
“What was my RevPAR performance last week?" -> "What was the pick-up performance like in the 3 months leading up to last week?" -> "How did I perform with STR against my comp set?"

  2. Switch to AI Query Helper – Turn that insight into a clean chart or table.
“Show ADR and Occupancy by segment for last week.”

  3. Save and share – Add the finished tiles into your dashboard or report and share.

Summary

  • AI Chat helps you explore across topics, connect signals, and tell the full story.

  • AI Query Helper helps you turn those questions into concrete, reusable content for dashboards and reports.

  • Together, they help you move from “what’s going on?” to “here’s the chart that shows it” in less time.
