Why add ancillary categories?
Ancillary revenue categories play a crucial role in group pricing by allowing hotels to accurately categorize and price additional revenue streams beyond room rates. These can include catering, meeting spaces, audiovisual equipment, and other amenities that impact the overall profitability of a group stay. By adding ancillary categories to your property, you are taking the first step in understanding the true potential profit contribution of a group, as well as a full picture of potential transient displacement.

Go to the Ancillary Category tab and ensure you are in "By Property" view.

FAQ
Are ancillary categories required?
No, ancillary categories are not required. If your hotel does not have any ancillary revenue streams to include in group quotations, there is no need to add these in setup.
What if I add categories to my property, but do not fill out any further information?
By adding categories to your property, you are able to use these categories as inputs in your group inquiry workflow and they will be considered in group revenue totals. Please note that if you do not add additional information like profit margins or transient spend, you will not benefit from ancillary profitability and displacement insights.
Why don't I see any ancillary categories in Step 3 - Additional Revenues when I create a new group?
If you do not see any categories in your drop down, that means none have been enabled for this property in Groups Settings. Simply follow the prompt within the dropdown and configure add the appropriate categories.
