What's New in the Insights Topics?
Our goal with the new Insights product is to streamline your data analysis process. Here's what you can expect:
Simplified Navigation with Three Primary Display Options
To enhance readability and usability, we've organized each topic within Insights using three primary view labels:
Date & Time
Time Increments: Easily select time dimensions such as Date, Week, Month, Quarter, and Year.
Default Selections: Pre-set stay date and comparison period filters are added to kickstart your queries.
Display Options
Capacity Adjustor (Physical/Bookable): Switch between physical capacity and bookable capacity for capacity-related measures like Occupancy and RevPAR.
Currency Selector: Choose to display monetary measures in Group, Local, or converted currencies.
Revenue Selector (Net/Gross): Toggle revenue measures between net and gross amounts.
Property
Property Dimensions: Access new location dimensions such as City, State, Zip Code, and Opening Date for more granular analysis.
These display options are consistently positioned at the top of each topic and are numbered 1 through 3, respectively, for easy reference.

Logical Grouping of KPIs: Key Performance Indicators are now organized into intuitive groups for easier navigation.

Historical Capacities: Capacities are now accurate by stay date, rather than based on the current date, providing more reliable Occupancy and RevPAR calculations.
Expanded Period-over-Period Functionality: STLP (Same Time Last Period) now works for bookings more than 11 months out, enabling long-term comparisons.
New Measures:
Product Count Measures: Track the number of products sold, including period-over-period variations.
Total Revenue Measures: Access detailed revenue data, including Accommodation, Ancillary, and Cancellation Revenue, plus a total sum of all of these.
Terminology and Label Updates
Product Revenue Renamed to Ancillary Revenue: Aligns with industry standards for clearer understanding.
Unconfirmed Bookings Label: Bookings with an Optional status are now grouped under an Unconfirmed label for better status analysis.
Booking Count Clarification: Distinguishes between Confirmed and Unconfirmed bookings with dedicated measures.

We've introduced a dedicated Pick-up topic to offer more in-depth analysis of booking changes over time.
Dynamic Date Selector: Choose specific dates or date ranges for pick-up analysis, providing flexibility over previous static options.

Simplified Focus: By removing bookings data, this topic allows for a clearer and more efficient analysis of forecasts and budgets.
Forecast Selector (AI/User): Easily switch between AI Forecast (produced by FLYR) and User Forecast measures.
Renaming for Clarity: The term System Forecast has been updated to AI Forecast to align with platform-wide terminology.

Expanded Period-over-Period Functionality: Now includes comparisons for Last Year, Last Quarter, Last Month, and Last Week, with options for date and day-of-week comparisons.
Measure Renaming for Clarity:
Rooms is now Accommodation.
Available Rooms is now Capacity.
