Manual Mode

Daily Tasks

  1. Check pick-up (actions tab if no Pace Analytics, otherwise Pickup Overview in Pace Analytics).

    • Ideally this should even be a scheduled report straight to your inbox.

  2. Check rates for the next 3 months as a minimum (ideally check full 365 days) and update as needed.

  3. Restrictions Management

    • Update restrictions from Pace as needed.

  4. Check Priority Dashboard to see the most significant changes since yesterday.

    • Also view where most units were picked up or cancelled.

  5. Check Critical Price settings

    • Determine if any rates have been sold below the MIN defined in Pace (Strategic controls ➡️ Default/Seasonal/Event settings).

    • Determine if you need to adjust your seasonality if there are many RN’s sold within 5% of the MIN/MAX defined for given periods.

  6. Check System Monitoring

    • See how many recommendations were accepted vs overridden and was the overrides needed or should it be replaced with a new season/event.

    • Which property is having the most overrides (if multi-property).
      o What is the reason for these and are there patterns in the overrides?
      o Can refer to point 5 again to better understand situation.

    • Check System Log to see if any rates were updated in the PMS. Pace should be the only system amending prices.

Weekly Tasks

  1. Enter any Events for reference (always good when you can refer to a specific date and have all info at hand).

  2. Ensure new rate codes in the PMS has been classified in Pace (Strategic Controls).

  3. Check forecast for potential changes vs. your last submission and make corrective actions as needed.

Monthly Tasks

  1. Check the MAPE for the previous month (Forecast accuracy).

  2. Analyse results of previous month and compare against expectations

    • Too many restrictions used vs too little? Live and learn!

  3. Analyse production by segment, channels and rate codes.

  4. Review Seasonal/Event settings and Notes for next year on the back of this year's learnings.

    • Make sure you still want to have Frozen periods (and to double-check you updated these periods manually.
